Open Hockey Sessions for Youth and Adults

Rockford Park District’s two indoor ice facilities offer drop-in open hockey sessions for both youth and adults, where players can have fun on the ice and gain the benefits of being active while practicing and improving their skills.

Youth Open Hockey sessions for ages 5-17 are held at Riverview Ice House, 324 N. Madison St., Rockford, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:00 until 4:50 p.m., for $5 ($6 non-resident) per session. Only players 5-17 are allowed on the ice for these sessions (no parents or coaches).

Adult Open Hockey sessions for adults ages 18 and older are held Monday evenings at Riverview Ice House in Rockford, as well as Friday and Saturday mornings at Carlson Ice Arena in Loves Park. Times and session lengths vary; fees vary according to times and residency, and range from $7 to $9 per session.
