UW Health Sports Factory Closing for Annual Maintenance

Rockford Park District’s UW Health Sports Factory multi-sport indoor facility, 305 S. Madison St., Rockford, IL, will be closed Saturday, August 19 through Sunday, September 3, 2017, for the annual scheduled maintenance to refinish the facility’s hard court floor surfaces. This annual maintenance helps to ensure that the 96,000 square feet of maple court surface remains in excellent condition.

UWHealthSportsFactory CDuring this year’s maintenance process, permanent lines for the sport of pickleball will be added to existing courts, increasing the number of pickleball courts to 12.

The Park District Customer Service office located inside the Sports Factory facility will also be closed August 19-September 3, 2017. (Customer Service will have limited hours Wednesday, August 16 through Friday, August 18: 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) Patrons are invited to register for programs online at www.rockfordparkdistrict.org (click on the Registration link), or contact Customer Service for other business via This email address is being protected from spambots. The Owly Oop Sports Pub located inside the Sports Factory, and owned and operated by Prairie Street Brewing Co., will be open through Saturday, August 19, then will be closed August 20 -31, re-opening Friday, September 1.
