Lockwood’s Pumpkin Fest: Weekends in October

Get outdoors and enjoy fall at Lockwood’s Pumpkin Fest, weekends in October, at Rockford Park District’s scenic Lockwood Park, 5201 Safford Rd, Rockford, IL.

Visitors can hand-pick pumpkins, ride a pony or take a horseback trail ride, go on a themed wagon ride, and make s’mores by the bonfire.

Additional activities include a corn maze, the haunted corn crib, pumpkin painting, pumpkin toss, carnival rides, inflatables, daily entertainment, and more. “Lockwood’s Pumpkin Fest features a wide variety of low-fee activities as well as free activities and entertainment for kids and adults to enjoy in a country atmosphere as they make memories and create their own traditions,” said Debbie Ackerman, Lockwood Park Manager.

The mission of Lockwood Park is to help people enjoy life through their connection to animals. The park programs provide a variety of experiences and learning opportunities to promote healthy, positive interactions between people and animals. Lockwood Park offers 15 miles of scenic trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding.
