Rockford Park District will hold monthly sessions of indoor group golf lessons for youth ages 5-7 of any skill level in February and March, 2019 at the Indoor Sports Center at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in Loves Park. The one-hour lessons meet Tuesday early evenings for $30 per person.

Upcoming session start dates are February 5 and 12, 2019, and March 5 and 12, 2019. Indoor Driving Range

During the winter months, golfers of all ages can keep their swing tuned up and work on their short game in climate-controlled comfort while enjoying the game of golf. A golf driving range is located inside the Indoor Sports Center (ISC) at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park, IL, and is the only place in town to offer an expansive indoor golf driving range complete with turf, where golfers use regulation golf balls. The range, which is located on Field 2, is 95 feet deep (ball flight is approximately 100 feet), and has16 hitting bays.

The range is open through March 29, 2019 on the following schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., and Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (last bucket sold 30 mins. before closing). The range is closed on weekends, observed holidays, and during special events; a list of the dates is posted on the events calendar at www.mercyhealthsportscore.com, and also at the facility.

All ages are welcome; however, golfers under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Buckets are $6 each ($8 non-resident) per bucket of approximately 50 golf balls. This is one of many low-fee activities offered by the Rockford Park District for the community to enjoy. A monthly pass is also available for $55 ($70 non-resident); maximum three buckets of golf balls per day.
