Learn to Play Tennis
Learn a lifetime leisure skill while having fun and enjoying the benefits of exercise outdoors this summer!
Registration is open for Rockford Park District tennis lessons for children ages 3-15, and adults ages 16 and older.
Two-week lessons for children and youth are offered beginning June 3, 2019, with additional sessions scheduled in June and July. Lessons meet for eight one-hour classes (45-minute classes for ages 3-7) Monday-Thursday mornings and evenings at Guilford Tennis Center, 5702 Spring Creek Rd., Rockford.
Cardio Tennis lessons for ages 16 and older provide players of all abilities with a fun, high-energy workout featuring fast-paced drills to burn calories, and are offered in June and July morning sessions at Guilford Tennis Center.
Tennis Camp for ages 6-16 provides the opportunity for beginner to intermediate level players to improve tennis skills while forming friendships with other players. The eight-day camp sessions are offered in June and July at Guilford Tennis Center.
Racquets are provided for daily use in all tennis lessons and programs.
Register online, or at Park District Customer Service locations: UW Health Sports Factory in downtown Rockford, and at Carlson Ice Arena and Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in Loves Park. Fee assistance may be available to eligible youth residents; an installment payment plan may be available, depending on program cost.
