New home for Rockford Area Golf Hall of Fame
The Rockford Area Golf Hall of Fame began in 2005 to honor individuals and organizations whose passion, leadership, and contributions have shaped the game of golf in our community.
This year, we are proud to welcome Rick and Lana Engen into the 2025 Hall of Fame class. Quietly, humbly, and consistently, Rick and Lana Engen have made a profound and lasting impact on the Rockford community. Their generosity and unwavering commitment to giving back exemplify the very spirit of the Rockford Area Golf Hall of Fame.
For more than two decades, Rick and Lana have been two of golf’s most dedicated champions. Their genuine love for the game fuels their commitment to ensuring Aldeen Golf Club remains one of the region’s premier golf destinations. Through their philanthropy and hands-on involvement, Rick and Lana have helped elevate the experience at Aldeen Golf Club in remarkable ways. Their support helped make the UMB Bank Pavilion possible, added GPS systems to all golf carts, and established a goose management program. These improvements have drawn thousands of additional guests to Aldeen Golf Club each year. A $2 million bunker renovation project is underway at Aldeen Golf Club, enhancing playability, improving drainage, reducing long-term maintenance, and revitalizing fairways. Thank you to Rick and Lana Engen for enhancing access to recreation, supporting youth and families, and building a sustainable future for our public spaces.
New! Rockford Area Golf Hall of Fame Interactive Display
The community now has an exciting new way to explore the nearly 50 individuals and organizations honored in the Rockford Area Golf Hall of Fame. A new interactive display at Aldeen Golf Club allows guests to tap on photos and discover the stories, accomplishments, and contributions of each inductee dating back to 2005. It’s a dynamic, engaging experience bringing the history of Rockford-area golf to life.
