There’s a lot to do with your Rockford Park District this summer.

The Rockford Park District continues responding to the evolving economic, demographic, physical, and social-emotional challenges facing our community while balancing thoughtful planning with continued investment across the park system.

Young athletes from across the region sharpened their football skills and learned from elite professional players at two free football camps organized through the Rockford Park District.

The Rockford Park District has received an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for $600,000 to renovate the existing playground and update park amenities at Brown Park.

Aldeen Golf Club is now the only golf course in the region to have the Better Billy Bunker system, a state-of-the-art bunker drainage and performance solution designed to improve post-rain playability, consistency, and lower long-term maintenance needs.

Rockford Park District invites families and beginner golfers of all ages to enjoy Golf Sunday Fun Days. These programs are generously supported by the Bill Laude Memorial Fund.
