Bloom Park

Rockford, IL 61107

As part of the Rockford Park District’s comprehensive playground plan and ongoing community-driven priority to invest in neighborhood parks, Bloom Park playground is going to be remodeled. The Rockford Park District and Rockford Public Schools are working together to transform the area where the tennis court currently sits.  The playground is past its 15- to 20-year lifecycle. Relocating the playground will allow Bloom School students closer access and utilize Rockford Public Schools property for the playground. Once a new playground is in place based on community feedback, the current playground will be removed, and the Rockford Park District will assess the need for other recreational resources.

There are three different proposed playground designs. Vote for the one you like best.  Please note that playground colors are subject to change. Bloom School has purchased a funnel ball which will be included in the final design plans. Online voting will take place from now through June 15, 2025. In-person voting will take place at Bloom Park near the shelter on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
