🚧 Investing in Neighborhood Parks!

Big things are about to happen at Brown Park, and we want your input on renovations! Neighborhood parks play a vital role in the health and well-being of our community and updating amenities remains one of the Rockford Park District’s highest priorities, as voiced by the citizens we serve.  The Rockford Park District received an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) for $600,000 to renovate the existing playground and update park amenities. The Rockford Park District team would like your input on the design plans.

Timeline: Phase 1 of park renovations would take place in 2026. Phase 2 which includes the playground remodel will take place in 2027.
