Wentland Sports Complex playground renovation

Wentland Sports Complex has been reimagined to fit the needs of this and succeeding generations. We're investing in this park and can't wait to unveil the new play area next summer! The design has been set thanks to your feedback. This is also the 1st Rockford Park District park in Loves Park that will have a Splash Pad!

Currently, the playground is closed and during the summer months we will begin to remove this well-loved wooden play structure to make room for new ways to play. In the meantime, here are a few nearby playgrounds to visit:

  • Russ Park, 6300 Harvest Lane, Machesney Park

  • Schoonmaker Park, 10893 Ventura Blvd, Machesney Park
