🚧 Alpine Park

Renovations are underway at Rockford Park District’s first inclusive playground originally built in 2003 at Alpine Park.

Additionally, a new dog park is being built at Alpine Park.

🚧 Bloom Park

The Rockford Park District and the Rockford School District are collaborating to update specific recreational resources within Bloom Park.

🚧 Brown Park

The Rockford Park District is in the process of applying for an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to update the playground at Brown Park.

🚧 Darryl F. Lindberg Park

Construction is officially underway on new inclusive baseball fields for players of all abilities at Darryl F. Lindberg Park in Loves Park.

🚧 Wentland Sports Complex

The renovation at Wentland Sports Complex includes a new playground, splash pad, and picnic area with shade structure. The playground construction has been completed, however, the splash pad construction is ongoing. The Rockford Park District plans to have a grand opening celebration in 2026.
