Update for November 2024
Pick your playground! We heard loud and clear how important it is to have a playground at Alpine Meadows Park. Now it’s up to you to decide which playground design you like best. There are three playground designs to choose from and all three designs include the same bay of swings. Colors of the playground are subject to change. We encourage kids to vote too! The Park District is investing roughly $82,500 to renovate the playground thanks to your feedback. Playground equipment alone will cost $50,000. The new playground is expected to be installed in spring, 2025.

In-Person Voting: Join us at Alpine Meadows Park on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10 a.m. to see the designs and select your favorite. Kids’ votes count too! On-site voting takes place rain or shine.
Construction Note: There is never a perfect time to tear down a playground but in order for a brand-new playground installed this spring, the Park District has to act now. Before the winter conditions arrive, we want to get in demolition and site prep which will begin the week of Monday, November 18, 2024 (weather permitting.) Alpine Meadows Park playground will be our first playground installation of the spring season. Alpine Meadows Park was built in the 1990’s and is past its 15-20 year lifecycle.
