Eligibility Requirements
How WE PLAY IT SAFE with RPD Programs
In order to keep everyone safe we ask that program participants be able to follow these guidelines in order to enter RPD programs during this time.
Rockford Park District Program Participant Eligibility Requirements:
Participants will need to be able to refrain from outbursts and physically aggressive behaviors such as biting, spitting, scratching, hitting, kicking, grabbing etc.
Participants must be able to stay near the group, and not run or wander away
Participants must be able to comply with verbal and/or visual instructions
With respect to unsafe or threatening behaviors by patrons with or without disabilities, where reasonable accommodations do not eliminate a direct threat to the safety of the patron or others, or would fundamentally alter the nature of the program and/or create undue hardship, the Park District may suspend the participant from the activity.
If a parent/guardian discloses that a participant cannot adhere to one or more of the eligibility requirements due to a disability, RPD staff will engage in an interactive process and discuss potential reasonable accommodations based on an individual assessment.
