Play It Safe

The Rockford Park District is focused on “playing it safe” at our programs and facilities.

We are asking patrons to recreate responsibly to stay healthy and safe while enjoying indoor and outdoor areas and amenities.

Please utilize the resources below for more information.

SICK POLICY/HEALTH SCREENINGS

Individuals who are currently exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should remain home and not attend programming. For a full list of COVID-19 symptoms, please click here.

The Rockford Park District will continue to follow CDC guidance related to Quarantine and Isolation for those who have been exposed or are exhibiting signs / symptoms of COVID-19.  The Park District reserves the right to deny entry or send participants home from programs if ANY symptoms are present. For full details regarding symptomatic individuals, please click here.

The Park District will only accept PCR or antigen (Ag) testing for proof of non-COVID related illnesses. Individuals will also be expected to be 24 hours with no fever (without fever-reducing medication) AND symptoms have improved/resolved per diagnosed condition.

Please work with team members at your Park District program site if you have questions regarding an individual’s participation in programming following a confirmed case of COVD-19, COVID-like symptoms, or confirmed / suspected exposure to COVID-19, or if you are under evaluation for COVID-19 (e.g., waiting for results of a test to confirm infection).

By participating in a Rockford Park District program, you understand and agree that if you or anyone in your household meets any of the above criteria, we will not participate.

This policy is subject to change based on local, state and federal guidelines.

Medication Dispensing

The Rockford Park District strongly encourages participants’ self-responsibility for their personal health, including personal care and medications. We ask that whenever possible, participants take their medication before or after, rather than during programming. Please understand that the Rockford Park District will administer medication for youth under the age of 18 and/or participants enrolled in our Therapeutic Recreation specific programs only in situations that are absolutely necessary for a participant’s health, and which fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act and District guidelines.

Please complete the form below and bring it with you to the first day of your program.

ONLINE WAIVERS

For your health and safety, and in an effort to stream line check-in for drop in programs at the park district sports facilities, participants will now be required to complete an online waiver, before they will be admitted to the program.
