Lewis Lemon Community Center is a fun, safe, cooperative program between the Rockford Park District and Rockford Public School District #205.

The Center offers an after school program, teen program, summer camps, sports teams in flag football and basketball, recreational activities, arts and crafts, and meeting new friends.

 

Programs

LLCC After School Program (Grades 1st-5th)

Enrichment program offered to Lewis Lemon students only. Activities include homework help, board games, arts and crafts, gaming systems, and the opportunity to participate in organized basketball and football teams. A daily snack will be provided. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the 21st Century program, which offers help in reading, math, and science. The students of this program must be teacher recommended. Lewis Lemon's After School Program runs into the start of the 21st Century program, and then is reinstated once it has ended.


LLCC Teen Evening Program (Middle or High School Age)

Do you want to get your teen out of the house and into a positive and exciting place? Lewis Lemon Community Center is the place to be! We offer Open gym, gaming systems, and much more! The wonderful staff at Lewis Lemon will make sure your teen is active and safe. Stop by and see everything we have to offer. Program runs 5:30p-8:30p Registration is required.


LLCC Youth Summer Camp

Stay active and spend time with your friends all summer! We’ll spend time each day indoors enjoying sports, arts and crafts, dancing, and video games. We’ll also spend plenty of time outdoors on the playground, enjoying basketball, field games and water play. Tennis, golf, track, and/or flag football instruction also provided throughout the summer. Daily snack included.


LLCC Sports

All Lewis Lemon Community Center members are invited to participate in our various sports teams, for a $10 participation fee.

• Cheerleading

All practices take place on site and we compete with local community centers and other not for profit organizations.
