Spray Pads
The Rockford Park District operates spray pads as a way of helping area residents beat the heat. These spray pads are available between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Based upon the location, some guidelines may be required to activate the spray pad.
Automatic Spray Pads: We now offer automatic spray pads that can be activated by the push of a button, regardless of temperature from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Supervision | Safety
The spray pad is unsupervised.
Children under ten years of age must be supervised by a guardian age 16 or older.
If thunder or lightning is detected, the spray pad is closed. Seek shelter immediately. Do not use spray pad until 30 minutes after the last time lightning is seen or thunder is heard.
Persons with contagious or communicable diseases may not use the spray pad.
Inspect the area before use. If you notice anything that requires immediate attention, please call or text customer experience at 815-987-8800.
Conduct
No running or boisterous or rough play is permitted.
Clothing
Children wearing diapers must wear tightly fitting plastic pants or a swim diaper.
Prohibitory
Animals are not permitted on the spray pad.
No food or drinks are allowed in the spray area.
Glass, soap, or other material that might interfere with efficient operation of the spray pad is prohibited.
No baby strollers or carriers are allowed near the play features.
Wentland Sports Complex
Splash Pad

Wentland Sports Complex is the site of the first spray pad in Loves Park, which features a bucket that slowly fills with water until it tips over, sending a refreshing splash down. With the push of a button, guests can activate a variety of new water play features.

Mercyhealth Sportscore Two
Soak Station
8800 E. Riverside Blvd. | Loves Park, IL 61111
The Rockford Park District’s first soak station is an open water play area near the playground behind the Indoor Sports Center at Mercyhealth Sportscore Two, 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., Loves Park. Hours are Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm Memorial Day through Labor Day. Enter through a gate near the stairway to the party deck. Restrooms available inside the Indoor Sports Center.
